Our Aquilos is a FIB-SEM (focused ion beam scanning electron microscope). It's primary function is to prepare lamella of frozen hydrated cells/cellular material for TEM imaging.
An iFLM (in-column fluorescent light microscope) enables fluorescent imaging of samples while they are on the Aquilos stage for accurate target localization.
An extended-run system (Nanosoft) allows for continuous operation for multi-day milling sessions.
